You'll hear from me quickly

I'm not a big agency with a ticketing system. Drop me an email and you'll get a real response, usually the same day. If something comes up with your site, I'm on it.

No surprises on price

I'll give you a clear quote upfront and I'll stick to it. If scope changes, we'll agree it together before any extra work happens. You won't open an invoice and wonder what half of it is for.

One person, start to finish

You speak to me, I do the work. There's no junior being handed your brief while someone senior takes the credit. The same person who quotes the job is the person building it.

I'll tell you what I think

If an idea won't work, or there's a better way to do something, I'll say so. I'd rather have an honest conversation early than deliver something you're not delighted with at the end.

No jargon, ever

I'll explain things in plain English. You shouldn't need a technical background to understand what's happening with your own website. Ask me anything — there are no stupid questions.

I'm Gary — a freelance web developer and digital designer working from Tarbert on the shores of Loch Fyne. I've been doing this for over 15 years, and I genuinely love it.

Before going independent, I spent years working with one of Scotland's largest e-commerce retailers on Magento builds, alongside a wide range of smaller businesses across web, brand and marketing. That background means you get proper agency experience without the agency overhead.

Being based in Argyll isn't a limitation — it's just where I live. My clients are all over Scotland and the UK, and remote working is simply how I work. What you do get from working with someone outside a city is someone who's not trying to sell you a retainer you don't need. I'll tell you what I think, do what I say, and be there when you need me.
